Carowinds Amusement Park

My wife and I spent the day at Carowinds Amusement Park while on vacation to see family in Charlotte, North Carolina. Carowinds is an amusement park that is right on the border of North Carolina and South Carolina. There are a lot of neat rides and shows at Carowinds. There are thrill rides, family rides, live shows, Boomerang Bay - which has tons of water slides and pools, and there's Nickelodeon Central - which is geared towards children. When we were there we didn't have children yet, but we really want get back there soon because we know the kids would love all the Nick Jr. stuff. We enjoyed some of the very unique roller coasters. There are lots of places to eat while there. We ate at a burger place and it was pretty good, for park food. There are a lot of hotels nearby and it is easy to get to. The parking lot is big, although they do charge you to park on top of your admission.
