As a resident of the infamous Las Vegas, NV, I wanted to give viewers a little insight into the world of sin and glitter.

Las Vegas is not the town you see one television. The films portray the hotels from one side of the strip to the other in one fluid take. On the contrary, many of the lights and signs you will see are not even close to each other.

Another big misconception is that all of Las Vegas is the strip. I have the luxury of living 35 miles north of the strip and never feeling one bit of the hustle and bustle. Now, if I decide I want to see the bright lights and action for myself, I drive the highway and look from the car, cause at night the traffic will kill you going into the city proper.

Las Vegas is a great destination for both singles and families. With hotels like the Circus Circus and the Excalibur, families can enjoy this tourist destination with no trouble or fret. Safety is most often not an issue and as with any trip, keep your money on your body and you will be fine.

With more than 40 million visitors each year, Las Vegas is bumping all the time, but the best time to visit may not be when you think. Las Vegas is HOT in the summer. To the tune of 120 degrees. Spring and Fall are the best times to visit the sparkling city.

So, visit Las Vegas and enjoy one of the brightest cities in the world. It is a great place to visit and a great place to live.
