Travel / Destinations / The Kingwood Center

I moved to Mansfield Ohio in July, and I have been trying to get out and see everything my city has to offer. This afternoon I went to The Kingwood Center to enjoy a lovely afternoon, strolling around the nearly 50 acre public gardens. As soon as I walked into the enterance I knew I would end up loving this place, as a duck pond was immediately within my sights. I am a sucker for feeding ducks...

The Kingwood Center offers plenty of tables and benches for your relaxation, as well as lovely trees, flowers and trails. Admission is free, with the option of donations to keep the garden open. You can visit the majestic house, which is beautiful and gigantic, stop by the Greenhouse, or simply just stroll through the gardens taking in the scene.

There are like a million great places for photo opps and fantastic statues and fountains.

The Kingwood center is a great place to visit when in Mansfield Ohio. The setting is lovely and peaceful, and art shows are apparently frequently held on the grounds. Refreshments and a charming gift shop are available.
