Travel / Destinations / Ultimate Fighting Championships
Being a fan of the UFC (Ultimate Fighting Championships) since it came out in the early 90's, I was excited to be able to attend the actual events in my area.
The first I saw was about 7 years ago and we sat in the 12th row, off the floor and the ticket price was $75.00. It was in a casino in CT, and we stayed nearby. The fights were fantastic, the seats were ok and we had a great time!
The second was at the same venue, and was a little over 1 year later. We got floor seats this time, and sat in the 7th row from the cage. We also stayed at the casino so we were able to hang out after the event. We paid $250.00 for the tix, and it was worth every penny! We got to sit with the fighters, their camps, and had waitresses bringing us drinks.
The third was again at the same venue, this time we paid $350 for the same seats. So the price did go up, but again it was worth it as we again sat with the fighters, etc.
The fourth (and last) time was at the same place again, we paid $450.00 each for seats listed as "22nd row, floor). So we show up expecting the same floor seats, however we were now in the 22nd row OFF the floor! These were terrible seats, and were higher than the ones we sat in for the first event! How these could be listed as floor is beyond me, and we were very upset about this!
So I now stay home and watch for free and will NEVER go to a UFC event live unless I get free tickets! Which is a shame being a die hard fan of the sport!
