I enjoy aquariums and have been to several. Some are huge, and some are small. The Adventure Aquarium is in New Jersey just across the river from Philadelphia. You can get there from Philly via a ferry boat. You can also get there by train, or you can drive. I've never had trouble parking.

This is a mid-size aquarium with a couple of really fun exhibits. There's a nice, big theatre style area to sit and view the large tank. There are also several other places to view this tank. They have a shark tunnel, which is always a hit. They also have a touch tank where you can touch stingrays and sharks.

There is a small cafeteria with fast food options (we usually bring our own lunch and eat it out on the patio with a view of Philadelpiha).

The outdoor area has warm weather penguins and sea lions. My favorite part of the aquarium is the hippo tank. I could sit and watch those hippos all day long.

Of couse to exit the aquarium you have to go through the gift shop!

It's not the best aquarium anywhere, but it's a fun way to spend a day.
