We took a small vacation to the Northeastern coast, and stop to show our grandchildren the historial site - Plymouth Rock. We had been there before and thought alittle history would finish off their trip. The day was beautiful and there were many people visiting this area. The rock is on the ground ,enclosed by stone pillars. Years ago people would try and chip off pieces, so they had to enclose it for protection. The children didn't know what to expect, and i believe they thought it would be more interesting. There were guides to explain the historial landmark and give information on other landmarks of interest to you. Known as the Cornerstone of the Nation, its worth a visit, because it is the most widely-known landmark in the United States.
Maybe the grandchildren were too young, or we needed to update our history of the United States.
