Hard Rock Hotel; Orlando, Florida

My son is very into Rock n' Roll so this was our choice of hotel to stay at during our Universal visit.

We booked a standard room, which was very clean and spacious. It has two Queen beds, a flatscreen TV, in room safe, coffee maker and a CD player!
But the number one reason to stay at an Universal hotel is all guest get free Universal express passes! Trust me, this alone is worth the price.

I like the location of this hotel. It was easy to walk to both park and even to Citywalk. Our family enjoyed taking a walk around the grounds. Never did I see garbage laying around. The staff from check in to housekeeping were always friendly and went out of their way to help you.
Take time to walk around the hotel itself and look at all the Rock n' Roll artifacts hanging on the walls. My husband and I had a good time looking at the old stuff we listened to or were familiar with. My son asked questions about some older rock bands and when we got back home wanted to hear our old CDs of the bands he saw on the walls of the hotel.

My son loved the pool. The waterslide was neat and there was always music playing, even under water! That was a very cool feature.

We ate at the restaurant called The Kitchen. I felt the food was very good and the staff was attentive. Yes, it is pricey, but again you get what you pay for. They serve breakfast here also and the breakfast is a very good way to start your day.

We stayed at another Universal hotel before but since staying at the Hard Rock Hotel we will always come back to this one. Sure there are cheaper hotels around the Universal area, but Hard Rock Hotel is so lively and just a lot of fun. We never got bored and with the music always playing, we just felt so much energy.
