While Bantayan Island in itself is a pleasant experience, vacations to the place would be more rewarding if one stayed at a place that really makes guests feel relaxed and worry less about their pressures. While vacationing sometime in early June 2007, I chanced upon St. Bernard Beach Resort in Barangay Ocoy, Sta. Fe, Bantayan Island. The discovery was accidental as all other resorts were fully-booked. In the end, it was a pleasant accident as St. Bernard is actually one of the most accommodating resorts in the Island of Bantayan. Set alongside a small and sleepy fishing and boatbuilding village, St. Bernard offers awesome privacy. The rooms in the resort are of notable sanitation, spacious and well-maintained. The staff if really courteous and are always ready to serve the needs of their guests. Yet they do it without being annoying, they respect personal spaces. The menu choices are just as great, serving a variety of cuisines to satisfy different tastes. Filipino, Chinese, American and European dishes are available. So far, my stay at St. Bernard Beach Resort, has so far been my best experience in Bantayan Island.
