I must have been dozing when we where being taught about the history of Cabrillo or Juan Rodriguez in school. Hahahaha. Just kidding. My family and I were treated by our relatives for an educational and sight-seeing trip to Cabrillo National Monument Park in San Diego, CA when we visited two weeks ago.
The park is overlooking the great view of San Diego bay over at Coronado and the ocean. It was spectacular. Although the weather was a bit chilly and super windy, we still managed to go around on foot to check out the various mini-museums there like the Point Loma Lighthouse, Juan Rodriguez Museum, the information deck and shop, the small Radio Station used before and the museum next to the lighthouse.
The things we learned were really very interesting because we never knew it until we went inside the museums and read the information plaques. Everything there is truly amazing. It was clean and had access for handicaps too. The restrooms were very clean and sterile too. Patrol cars were parked inconspicuously, just in case they would be required. We also saw small squirrels up close and personal since we have not seen anything like that yet here in Dubai.
I don't mind going back there soon. I love the place and the wind blowing to my face while looking at the beautiful sights around me that is San Diego!
