There is many ways to do beef jerky that can be found on the internet so I tried a few of them and after tweaking the spices and the cooking times I got a fairly good product that cost me

Under 5 bucks for almost 2 pounds of jerky that taste quite good. I don't have a dehydrator and im not planning to buy one. Im using 1 pound of lean ground beef, seasoned with cayenne pepper

, seasonning salt, chili powder and dried hot pepper. I don't have any specific quantities. Mixed everything with the ground beef. You will need a sheet of wax paper that you will lay on your work surface

Than put the meat on it. Put another sheet of wax paper on top of the meet. Next use a pastry roller to flatten the meat down to 1/8 of an inch. Next put the whole thing in your freezer for 45 min this way it

Make it easier to cut into stripes. Next cut stripes of cold uncooked jerky I usually go with 1" wide by 4" long. Than remove wax paper on both side and place on a pizza pan. I use the one with holes so

Don't forget to place a drip pan under. Preheat your oven at 90 / 194F. Cook for 1 hour and 15 minutes. Than using a towel or napkins or whatever you have remove excess fat and turn around .Than put back in the oven for one hour and a half. Than wipe excess fat again. Let it cool down for about an hour and place in ziploc bag or plastic container. Put it in the fridgeor if you have made too much put it in the freezer. If you keep it in the fridge they should be good for at least too weeks. Guys at work keep asking me for some. It cheap to make doesn`ttake long and it`s good. Will put picture of the process soon.
