Recent technology has allowed us to interact with friends and strangers throughout the world and online gaming has become increasingly popular, especially in consoles such as Xbox 360 and Playstation 3. If you're new the the online gaming experience, it may be a little intimidating when you first sign in, but eventually, you'll get the the hang of it. Here are a few of the pros and cons that I've discovered throughout my online experience in the wildly popular Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2.
The pros of this game mainly revolve around the "pretty factor". It's impossible not to get sucked into the action with the realistic graphics and fast-paced multi-player.
Javelin glitch -- fixed
Overpowered 1887 Akimbo shotguns -- fixed
Care package glitch -- fixed
Impossible areas (i.e. under the map)
Noob tube class (grenade launcher)
Lack of party chat for many modes
The cons of Modern Warfare revolve around the fact that many players can take advantage of the game's glitches in order to advance their level, which can be extremely frustrating to players who want to level up honestly. Aside from these levelling glitches, the game has several classes that allows players to be "cheap" in their kills. For example, the "noob tube" class, uses a grenade launcher attachment that basically obliterates other players automatically if they get in range with a special perk. The knifing class allows the player to run at fast speeds to catch other players off guard with unrealistic speed and lunging capabilities.
If you're interested in online multiplayer with friends, this game can be enjoyable experience. However, if you're easily frustrated with players that don't "play fair", you'll probably give up early on into the game. In the case of Modern Warfare 2, I would recommend it to beginners of online play, but if you're looking into more realistic online warfare, I suggest other titles such as Battlefield: Bad Company 2 or old school Call of Duty: World at War
