Reynoso New & Used Tires is located at 23240 Harper Avenue Punta Gorda, FL 33980-2915.
Pedro Reynoso has an excellent tire shop which is a little off the beaten path and unfortunately not easy to see from the main roads here in Port Charlotte and Punta Gorda. The shop is located off the corner of Harvorview Boulevard and Tamiami Trail (US 41), just before you go over the harbor bridge into Punta Gorda. From Harborview, turn right on Harper Avenue and then make a right turn at the end of the street. Reynoso is located on your right in 2 large warehouse looking building locations.
My husband's co-worker came across Reynoso one day when he needed tires. It ends up, I had designed their first business and post cards about a year ago when they were starting out. Talk about a small world, but I had never recalled this shop since I do so many designs. But when my husband mentioned who he took the van to, I was thrilled to be giving them our business.
Reynoso Tires has any type tire you may need, whether it be big or small, new or slightly used. Now the slightly used tires are normally off of vehicles that have been sent to the scrap yard, so businesses can purchase parts off of these cars and use them for resale and needed car repairs and parts. They can also get tires from cars that were in accidents and where the tires didn't have any damage but are in excellent condition with lots of tread left. Of course they also get tires from many vendors and other means, but this is just a few that I know of.
You can also purchase brand new tires as their prices are very low and beat the competition out there.
Reynoso's used tires are only $20.00 each for any size and they only charge $5.00 for mounts and do a free brake fluid check. They do NOT sell tires that have been re-treaded, as those are considered to be unsafe.
For those like us on a tight budget and not having much set aside for much needed car repairs, it's great when you find a business that doesn't take advantage of you, gets the job done and also gets it done quickly.
If you are in the Port Charlotte area, check out Reynoso New & Used Tires. I am sure you will be happy with their service too.
We love our new tires and they also rotated the older ones to the back for us. And when we're ready to purchase a set of 4 new tires, we'll be headed back to that shop. These tires actually look brand new and we are very pleased with them.
Update On May 26, 2010: We just had to buy a rear tire 2 days ago. The cost was still $25 and $2 for a disposal fee that's required by state. The tread is awesome and definitely was better than what we had on the van. I'd recommend talking to your tire dealer and if they do have salvaged tires, check them out. They can help in times when you don't have the extra money to spend on the regular price for tires that would normaly cost about $60 each. And if your mechanic gets them from vehicles that have been in accidents and they are just recycled tires, then you may just be getting a tire that was barely driven on. After working in the auto industry and verifying insurance for new car buyers, I can't begin to tell you how many new cars were totalled within the first week of driving them off the lot. So check it out in your area.
