Every store in the grocery chain I work for has a pretty large floral department. I suppose it is possible that I am a bit prejudiced since I work a few hours a week in our floral department, but I am always amazed at just how much this department has to offer! From beautiful hard goods such as bird houses, vases, picture frames, wreaths of silk flowers, candles, and elegant candle holders to potted plants large and small, orchids in a variety of sizes, outdoor color spot bowls, hanging fuchsias, and cut flowers galore.
Mother's Day is the second largest floral holiday next to Valentine's Day and we are ready for it!
We start taking special orders about two weeks ahead for Mother's Day. Our customers can also browse the FTD nationwide delivery arrangement notebook so that they can send their moms who are in distant places something special for her special day.
But even for those last minute shoppers, we have choices for every budget.
A simple bouquet of tulips is a breath of fresh air that just says "spring is here!" making them a perfect choice for the budget conscious. For moms that love gardening, outdoor plants such as hydrangeas or fuchsias are always welcome. The fuchsias attract hummingbirds, too, which is why my husband and I always choose them for our moms. It is just fun to see them coming and going and our moms love them.
In our cooler are specially made arrangements in vases for a more elegant touch. These are made in a variety of colors, sizes, and price points and can be boxed for travel. If you would like to try your own hand at flower arranging, you will find a wide assortment of cut flowers to choose from. Alstromeria, carnations, gerbera daisies, star-gazer lilies, lilacs, and mums in beautiful varieties and colors are all good choices to mix and match.
Enjoy the convenience of shopping at your Safeway floral department while running your regular weekly errands, saving time that you can spend with your family. The quality AND quantity are there for your shopping pleasure.
