This is one of the oldest recipes for a very delicious dish, for those who like chicken liver. This recipe is very popular in our family because we like chicken liver very much. In my opinion, those who have never tried making chicken liver before: this one is the best recipe. The taste of vegetable softens the liver so it will not be as bitter as it would be, if prepared on the stove. So please read, prepare, eat and enjoy this incredibly tasty royal dish!
For the recipie you will need:
1 kg of liver
7 onion heads
3 tablespoons of semolina
0.5 tea spoon of baking soda
0.5 cup of sour cream
0.5 cup of mayonnaise
Wash the liver, remove the membrane. Mince the liver along with three heads of onion. Add the eggs, semolina, baking soda and salt. Whisk everything very well. Make pancakes of a size of a palm and fry them in heated oil. Fry each 3 to 4 minutes until both sides will brown nicely.
Cut carrots into thin strips, cut the rest of the onions in half-rings. Fry in oil until soft. Add salt and pepper.
Stratify pancakes of liver in a deep baking dish with grilled vegetables. Pour mayonnaise-sour cream mixture on top.
Bake in a preheated oven at 200 C for 35 minutes. Sprinkle with dill before serving.
P. S. Another time, I would stratify: liver pancakes, vegetables, mayonnaise – sour cream mixture, liver pancakes, and so again. But anyway if you like liver, it is very tasty. The only mistake was that I used only three eggs, but I think the taste remained unspoiled... Instead of mayonnaise-sour cream mixture you can put tomato sauce. Depends on what taste would you prefer: tomatoes or mayonnaise. Works well with both of them so you should try both.
