I was hungry and since I was in a mood for oriental foods, I decided to visit Soc Trang.
When I got there, service was great and I was seated almost immediately. There are lunch specials everyday and so many different dishes on the menu. I ordered shrimp fried rice with a side dish of sesame chicken and some crab cheese, an oriental desert with a hard outer shell and creamy filling inside. The food was cooked pretty fast, and the egg drop soup as an appetizer kept me satisfied. The food was cooked up faster than I thought it would. The smell of the sesame chicken was outstanding, the steam coming from the fried rice was making me outrageously hungry. After the waiter served my food, I started digging in and before I knew it, my plate was empty and I was ready to pay the bill. The waiter was very nice and knew when to ask me if I needed my water to be refilled.
I don't remember how much it was but it surely was worth the price. The specials they have everyday are great and delicious. For dinner, I believe you get a free egg drop soup for every dinner you buy. All the foods there are reasonably priced and cooked nicely. I'll surely revisit that restuarant sometime again soon. I recommend buying food from the specials, they are outragously delicious and pretty cheap compared to other restaurants in my opinion.
In general, great service, great food, and a great price. If you ever have the time, you should think about visiting Soc Trang, it is located in Caledonia, Michigan in the Gaines Township area nearby the Meijers store next to Gamestop and Great Clips. The restaurant itself is pretty clean and doesn't have that weird smell like some other oriental restaurants do.
