The fourth of July is a celebration of America's freedom. But is America truly free? Or are Americans still ruled by outside powers?

Have you ever wondered why people are bankrupt nowadays? Have you been wondering why foreclosures and repossessions abound? Well to answer that let us travel back to what one of the founding fathers of the United States of America, Thomas Jefferson. This is what he said. "I believe that banking institutions are more dangerous to our liberties than standing armies. If the American people ever allow private banks to control the issue of their currency, first by inflation, then by deflation, the banks and corporations that will grow up around [the banks] will deprive the people of all property until their children wake-up homeless on the continent their fathers conquered. The issuing power should be taken from the banks and restored to the people, to whom it properly belongs."

Despite this being said more than a century ago, this holds very true today. The government is no longer for the people, by the people and of the people as was aspired by the founding fathers. It is now a government for the bankers, by the bankers and of the bankers. The bankers control the government, the mainstream media and almost everything. They control the issuance of currency and the economy.

Look at how many people are losing their homes and their vehicles to the banks. Look at your huge credit card bills and interest payments. Look at the companies saddled with debt and are closing down. It is the bankers fault America is in this mess.

At the center of this is the Federal Reserve which is nothing more than a private bank controlled by offshore interests and their American cronies. Thomas Jefferson was dead right that the banks should not control the issuance of currency. It should be controlled by the people through the representatives of Congress who they choose to elect. The Federal Reserve must be shut down just as President Andrew Jackson vanquished The Second Bank of the United States. It is time to end the Fed!
