Treating Yourself To Take Out When You Are Pressed For Time

There are times when my husband and I would like the treat of eating out without actually eating out. I know this sounds confusing, but let me explain. Have you ever had those times when you wanted something different to eat from your usual fare but didn't actually feel like sitting in a restaurant for a meal? One of my favorite restaurants, Olive Garden, has soups and pasta dishes that I absolutely love, but I don't always feel like taking the time to sit in the restaurant and wait for the meal to be served. I may have the taste for a different dinner, but I don't have the time to eat out.

Well, that is where take out comes in so handy. The last time my husband and I ate at Olive Garden, we found out that you can order anything on the menu ahead of time and then pick up your meal as take out and eat it at your leisure at home. I know this probably sounds crazy, but I was so thrilled with that idea. I never thought of ordering take out from Olive Garden. In fact, I eat out so infrequently that I'm not even aware if take out was always available at this restaurant or if this is something new that was just recently started. Well, my husband and I picked up a take out menu and are now going to periodically order some of their soups, salads and pasta dishes for enjoying at home. I love this idea because it means that I can enjoy Olive Garden's meals without having to take a few hours out of my busy schedule to sit in the restaurant and wait for service.

There are times when I really do want to eat out and take that time for relaxing and getting away from the routine for a while. But for those occasions when I am pressed for time but would still like to enjoy a fancy meal, a quick phone call and a quick pick up will give me the chance to enjoy that delectable dinner without having to take the extra time to dine out.

So when you find yourself with a lot to do but in the need of a tasty meal as a pick-me-up, treat yourself to take out from one of your favorite restaurants and see how it can really change your mood.
