This wasn't an item I intended to buy when I walked into Wal-Mart, but it I noticed it on display and went over to look at it. What initially attracted me to the display was the "BPA Free" label. Recently, there has been a lot of information put out on how bad BPA is for us. The second thing about this water bottle that I immediately liked was the size. It is a 1 liter plastic jug with a handle on the side which makes it very easy to carry around. Also, for travelling convenience, it has a sporty cap for ease of use and a lid to cover it with to keep the part you sip from clean and free of debris. This is another one of those things that has to be hand washed, and I'm not crazy about that. I mean, it's plastic, what's the big deal about putting it in the dishwasher? The label advises not to use it in the microwave or fill it with hot liquids either. The neck is wide, but it's still a little too small to fit regular size ice cubes (from ice cube trays) into. Smaller cubes and bagged ice should work just fine. It tends to leak a little, so when I'm driving with it, I have to make sure to wedge it (too big for drink holders) so that it doesn't fall over.
