This is a review of 2 different novels I have read recently, both dealing with demon slayers.

The Accidental Demon Slayer by Angie Fox

About a woman who has no idea she is a demon slayer, just planning to celebrate her 30th birthday when a woman claiming to be her long-lost grandma shows up and lets her in on her heritage. This book is a little too cutesy in spots and hard to get into at points, with the grandma character being a bit over the top at times and the main character seeming a bit forced. The idea is a good one, but this isn't one of my favorites

Demons Are Forever by Julie Kenner

About a soccer-mom type who also happens to be a demon hunter. The story is cute but not in a bad way. It is easy to get through and entertaining. I missed the first 2 books in the series but will look for them now. Her relationship with her daughter, son and husband are complicated, especially with the possibility of her dead former husband coming back into her life. As expected, her teen daughter wants to help out once she finds out what mommy is up to. Her ways of hiding her career from husband and friends is sometimes funny. This book has a good storyline and plot, definitely a series that has a lot of potential.
