My ex-husband died in March of 2009 and my daughter is his only child and his mother's only grand child. In May my ex-mother-in-law collected the insurance money. My ex-husband always said that everything he had, money and all of his possessions, would go to our daughter. Well, it didn't work out that way. So, when my (ex-mother-in-law) my daughter's grandmother got $100, 00 in insurance money she told my daughter that she would buy her a car. Off to the car lot they went to look at cars. Her grandmother didn't like any of them. Finally, after days of looking at cars, the grandmother decided that she wanted to go to a certain car lot and nothing else would do. It had to be Scott Crump Toyota in Jasper, Alabama. There Crystal, my daughter, found a used Toyota Camry that she was interested in. The grandmother would not hear of buying a used car, it had to be a brand new car.
They settled on a new white Toyota Camry with the sticker price on the window. The grandmother paid cash in full $22, 500 for the car and it had 10 miles on the odometer when she was handed the paperwork. This Camry is the perfect car for my daughter. She works for Hospice as a home health nurse and needs a dependable car for the job. This car gets really good gas mileage and rides very comfortable. The color is white and it is really easy to clean.
The Camry has side curtain air bags. It has front passager and seat mounted air bags. The driver's seat has knee air bags. The light comes on if the tire pressure is low. That has already happened one morning when she was on her way to work. She stopped and had the tires checked and they were low just a little bit so she put air in them. There have been no other problems, but at least she knows that if the light comes on there is a problem. It has automatic on and off headlights. The air conditioner has a pollen filter. The am - fm radio has a CD and MP3 player with 6 speakers. The back seat folds down for more storage. My daughter always has her trunk stocked with work patient supplies. The radio controls are on the steering wheel. It also hads an outside temperature guage.
This Camry is well worth the purchase price. We highly recommend this car and love driving it.
Update On Mar 17, 2010: Correction: My ex mother in law (my daughter's grandmother) received one hunded thousand dollars in insurance money. It tured out that this 2009 Toyota Camry was on the recall list for the accelerator getting stuck. My daughter took the car back to Scott Crump Toyota in Jasper, Alabama and the accelerator was fixed and we only had to wait about half an hour. The car is a nice car for the job that she ended up getting with hospice. It gets really good gas mileage and with the price of gasolin that is a good thing. So far there have not been any problems with the car.
