When we first went camping, we didn't take everything. As it came time for a fire, we realized we didn't have anything to cut wood with. We could only get small branches and break them up by hand. Not only did that hurt, but the branches didn't burn long. The camper next to us, let us use his saw. He said this is the best for camping and cutting wood. When he left he gave the saw to us as a gift, saying he was going to buy the 15". We tried to pay him, but he said it was a used one, and hoped we could use it.
The Sven folding saw is very portable and folds into the handle for safety. Being lightweight (aluminum), having a good grip, stainless steel blades, and easy to clean, the saw is great for camping. Be careful of the sharp teeth on the blade, for i have found sometimes the blade will bend. Replacing the blade can be hard, because of the roll pin that connects it to the saw. This saw usually cuts logs up to 8" around.
I have to say-don't leave home without it, if your out camping. We see our camper friend all the time and he asks hows the saw working out. Nice campers for sure.
