Love Dualbay Computers Drives 35

This Rosewill R2-JBOD 3.5" USB 2.0 DUAL-BAY External Enclosure is a life saver! Well, digital life, anyway. Recently my computer has been acting up (random BSOD- Blue Screen of Death), so I bought this Rosewill HD (Hard Drive) Enclosure along with a hard drive to back up all my data.

This enclosure can fit up to 2 hard drives. Each drive can be up to 2tb (terabytes) It also supports both SATA I and II connections. To keep your hard drive(s) running smoothly, the Rosewill Dual-Bay External Enclosure has a 50mm fan. It connects with a USB 2.0 connection. There is also an AC adapter. The material is black aluminum. There is an on/off switch with a light so you don't forget it on, also a data transfer light lets you know when a hard drive within it is "working."

It has supports for JBOD and BIG. JBOD lets each hard drive (if you put 2 in) be seen as a separate drive. It will show 2 hard drives in your Computer folder) JBOD is a popular method of combining multiple (physical) hard drives into a single virtual one. (Computer folder will show one hard drive even if you have 2 in the enclosure).

Pros: I like the light that lets you know it's still on. (I'm good at forgetting mine is on!) It is small enough to fit on your desk and since 2 hard drives fit in it, no need for extra cords just to hook up both of them!

Some cons are that if you don't ever forget to turn it off, the on/off light is pretty bright and might be annoying to some. At 4 lbs. and dimensions of 7.85" x 4.9" x 2.96", I wouldn't exactly call it portable. But at least it is small enough to fit on a desk.

All that said, I would still recommend this Rosewill Dual-Bay HD Enclosure to anyone!
