I stayed at this hotel for three nights in the Spring. As could be expected from the 4 Seasons name, the service was superlative. Every staff member greeted myself and my boyfriend by name, though on occasion I was entertained by being referred to as the Mrs., which was technically inaccurate but not unwelcome at the time.

The grounds are beautiful, the gardens have a huge waterfall which is in stark contrast to the area outside the hotel. I gave slightly lower scores for the limited cuisine available on the property, everything (as again is to be expected) is quite pricey. However, the service and beauty of the hotel make up for the expense. I also enjoyed the relative proximity to the Malibu area, without being in the town itself. The rooms are likewise well appointed and lavish, I don't know if I've slept in a more comfortable bed.

The real highlight of this hotel is its spa area, which is free access daily for hotel guests. They have full overhead rain showers, multiple hot tubs, and a beautiful sparkling pool area where I got my first sunburn of the season. The ONLY downside to this is that the pool area has many cabanas, with televisions and music, which it seems over-privileged teenagers have a habit of using, to the destruction of the peace and quiet and relaxation of other guests. The only improvement I could conceive would for the 4 Seasons to create an under 18 pool area, and to ban all 18 and unders from the spa and adults area, because their presence was quite literally that much of a disturbance.
