I have been wanting an 8GB memory card for some time now. A friend of mine has two video cameras that he paid $800 each for and told me he spent $80 each for his 8GB memory cards! I just couldn't justify that. But I still I checked around and they were close to $70, sometimes a lot higher, like he paid and usually I could find them on sale for around $40. But two weeks ago we were killing time before seeing a movie with our youth group and we strolled into Radio Shack. Wouldn't you know - the 8GB SDHC Memory Card was on sale for 54% off at a price of $21.99!
The great thing about having an 8GB memory card is that for digital cameras and video cameras, it allows you to store high quality photos or in my case to use our camera to videotape the kids at church when they do performances. The 8GB card allows approximately 2 hours of recording time and possibly more. As far as photos go - well, let's say hundreds and if you prefer a lower quality setting on your images, you could get many times that.
The Sandisk 8GB SDHC Memory Card carries a 5 year limited warranty too.
You do need to make sure your recording or digital device accepts an SDHC card, as some do not. But from what I know, many do and it works fine in my Kodak Camera.
Memory cards like this slip into a special slot on your computer and allow you to either copy or remove the files directly onto your computer.
