I saw this book on the shelf at my local store. It caught my eye because I'm always interested in those "near death experiences" NDE as they are called in reports. I want to know firsthand about heaven and what it is like. This is a true story of a minister that was in a vehicle crash. EMTs pronounced him dead and covered the car with a tarp. A man happened upon the scene and went under the tarp and prayed for Mr. Piper. During prayer, Piper moaned and spoke. I will not give the whole plot away. Mr. Piper goes through many struggles with his medical condition since that crash, a year in the hospital enduring so much pain and 34 surgeries. He talks about going to heaven and describes the details of his "crossing over." This book focuses mainly on Mr. Piper's recovery. There is very little about heaven. He states that he feels he came back for a reason and that reason being that he suffered pain so he could help others with pain. I liked the book but was looking for more about details of heaven. This man suffered terribly through his rehabilitaion. This is what the book is mainly about, his struggle.
