Me and my youngest son who is 5 are the Bond, James, Bond fans in our home. We recently rented the lasted movie in the franchise. I enjoyed it a lot. The opening song and graphics were some of the best I have seen and heard in a while. The theme song was done by Jack White from the White Stripes and Alicia Keys. Daniel Craig is not hard on the eyes, his face is mediocre but his body in the movie is smokin'. The overall tone seemed a bit darker in this film. I liked the action sequences and Bond's - I don't give a flip attitude. At times the back ground noise did seem to get louder than the talking and that kind of bothered me. Also James never says- "Bond, James, Bond" throughout the entire film which kind of broke my heart. There was not as many gadgets in this film- but what is in it is really impressive, but more sweet cars than some of the previous films. I did feel that this movie was less Bond like than the others. Bond and M don't have a lot of face time together. Also this movie seemed pretty long. At certain times the storyline was just rambling. This movie was not as good as Casino Royale but it was okay. I hope the writers pick up the slack on the next movie.
Honestly the storyline was not that remember-worthy. Bond is looking for some ex-boyfriend of the girl he loved that died. He ends up following leads that take him to a terrorist. He meets a girl, travels to exotic locals, etc.
