What a wonderful toy! The Gazillion Bubble Grill has got to be the best bubble blower made. Unlike other bubble blowers that do all the work for you, this one is interactive. There is a fan in the actual grill part of the toy and the child dips the bubble wands, in this case shaped like various meats and pickles, into bubble solution and then lays it on the grill. There is also a basting brush, so that after the toy meat is on the grill you can add more bubble solution to them using the brush. Great for those little ones that haven't mastered blowing yet. It also works with all other bubble wands.
The toy itself is fairly compact with all the components fitting inside the lid for easy storage. It seems to be made out of a very durable plastic, we have had no problems with it. It is a little small, but I have found that up to three children can easily sit around it and play. Another great thing about this toy is that it can do double duty. My kids love to play house, and although they have a play kitchen they do not have a grill. We plan on bringing this toy into the house during the winter for lots of pretend play.
This toy was new on the market this summer and a little costly at 24.99. Because it is considered a seasonal toy I was able to find it at the beginning of July at 30% off. I am sure that it will be on clearance with the other summer toys, and definitely worth purchasing for next summer.
As a stay at home mom I do not like to waste money on fad toys that quickly lose their appeal. This is one of those toys that gets played with several times a week by both my 5yr old and 6yr old. The only recommendation I have is to be sure to buy name brand bubbles. They are not expensive and work much better than the generic bubbles from the dollar store.
