Several days ago, I looked out on my porch and lo' and behold, there was a box out there. It was from Essie. It had been Fed-exed to me. I was really excited since this was unexpected. I ripped open the box because I couldn't wait for a scissor. Fancy nail polish turns me into The Incredible Hulk, what can I say?

Once the box was torn open, I saw a piece of paper and I realized this was from the Allure Magazine's Readers' Choice Awards giveaway for June. Enclosed was a bottle of nail polish in the shade, Mademoiselle.

I am very thrilled with the color. I am obsessed with light polish colors and this is a great, pale, neutral pink. This color makes my nails look much prettier in a simple, chic way. It is almost as if I had a French Manicure, but without the super-white tips.

I polished my nails on 8/3/09. I let them dry thoroughly. Yet the next day, I noticed that on the surface, there were miniscule marks. They didn't have that extra smooth surface I noted the day before. On 8/6/09, I noticed chipping, especially on the tips of my fingernails. I did my manicure without topcoat or basecoat to see how the nail polish performed. I would still use this product because I like the color. Although, I wish it was more opaque, so I didn't have to apply 3 coats for it to show up. I also would want it to be more long lasting. I expected more from this product since it's used in salons

I won this product so I didn't pay anything. I checked on Essie's website, and it retails for $8.00.
