My old garden hose nozzle had started leaking so I knew it had to be replaced. As I was making my way to the checkout at the garden center in Lowe's Home Improvement I spotted the garden hose nozzle display. I was intrigued by a poly pistol grip dial nozzle made by Gilmour. At a price $4.97 I decided to purchase one and try it out.

The model number for this nozzle is 387GF. It is red and black, very stylish and has seven spray patterns. The spray patterns are mist, soaker, cone, center, flat, jet and shower. The mist pattern is as the name implies and is good for plant leaves. The soaker pattern is ideal for watering potting plants. The cone pattern dispenses water in a wider area without a lot of pressure. The center pattern is good for aiming at a precise target which may come in handy for chasing animals out of your garden. The flat pattern is .., ok I haven't a use for this pattern yet. The jet pattern is good for washing lawn and garden equipment such as a weed eater, edge trimmer, or hedge trimmer. The jet pattern is not the same as pressure as a pressure washer. The shower pattern is good for watering the lawn.

The patterns are selected simply by turning the end of the nozzle to the desired pattern. A click lets you know when the nozzle is in the correct position. The poly pistol grip dial nozzle comes with a washer to prevent leaking at the hose connection.

I am very pleased with the performance of this product.
