This piece is one of the most legendary gaming systems of the Nintendo franchise aside from the earlier SNES. The Nintendo 64 is a 64-Bit CPU gaming console released in 1996. Commonly Abbreviated N64, it was one of the most technologically advanced console of its time and we can still see the power in the N64 today. The The nintendo 64 was the last console for nintendo to use cartridge based games due to the smaller capacity and pricing, making the Game cube, its younger counterpart to be the first system with disc based games. The Nintendo 64 has some awesome titles such as NBA JAM 2000, Mario Cart, California Speed, and World Driver Championship. Also In my opinon I think the Ninendo 64 have very advance graphics for its era. If you happen to have a Nintendo 64, Super Mario 64 is one of the best games for this console. If you do jave super mario 64 I would love to wish you congratulations but if you dont, this is a must have. The N64 is one of the most stylish systems also, which was distributed in many color variations. The original console is an almost black dark gray, but later on colors such as Jungle green, Fire Orange, Grape Purple, Ice Blue, Smoke Gray, and Watermelon Red started to make its way on shelves. Usually these special colors were bundled with game for example the Jungle Green was bundled with Donkey Kong 64. Also a yellow console was released also bundled with Donkey Kong 64. The controllers also changed color. The standard color is a standard gray, but then colors such as the Atomic Purple, Millenium 2000 (a silver controller with black buttons), and the gold controller which was bundled with the The Legend of Zelda game was hitting the shelves. The pokemon edition also was released with a pokemon sticker on the side, the N64 pikachu had a large pikachu model on a blue console and a blue controller. The controller for this console was orange in japan. Game cartridges changed colors overtime too, from gray to various other colors such as red, green, blue, yellow and gold. These color variations and styles make the N64 one of the most colorful, stylish console to be released which gives consumers the option of choosing whatever color matches their personality, decor etc. I reccomend this system to all the retro game collectors, or those who would like to get this console to get a taste of the old days. Although this system have been discontinued in stores you will still find luck purchasing it online at sites such as craigslist, Ebay, or or Amazon, or from sellers on youtube. Enjoy your Nintendo 64, and for those looking around online for one. Good luck!
