We are currently leasing our 2004 Ford Freestar Minivan and overall have been very happy with it. It gets decent gas mileage and has enough room for our family of 5. I have not had any problems with the vehicle so far and have only done routine maintenance such as oil changes, brakes, and rotating tires. The rear seats fold down easily which is a plus if you need the extra storage in the back. Our model also came equipped with a DVD player which is fantastic for the kids especially on long trips.

My only complaint with the Freestar is that we find that it is a little tight fitting two adults and a child in a booster seat across the backseat. We have 3 small children, all of whom are in car seats/booster seats. Quite often we like to take my parents out with us which leaves us putting 2 adults in the front, 2 children in the middle, and 1 child and 2 adults in the rear. It is definitely a tight squeeze in the rear seat. My parents own a Toyota Sienna which is a bit roomier and fits three across much more comfortably.

Overall, this was an affordable minivan which has performed up to my expectations. I would definitely consider leasing or buying another one when my current lease is up, however, it is my understanding that Ford has stopped making a minivan.
