The Rival Hot Pot Express is a very fast and lightweight kettle perfect for making tea, noodles, or soup. It has a large 32 ounce capacity.
I primarily use it when I am away from home (because my Braun kettle in the kitchen is just as fast and has a higher capacity). If I am driving to a hotel which does not have a coffee pot in the room I frequently take this pot along.
This pot is much faster for heating up liquids than using a coil travel beverage heater. Granted this pot is much bigger than the travel coil, but it is very light weight and you can put your beverage supplies in it to save space.
There are seven heat settings, so you could warm milk, boil eggs, cook soup or noodles, heat prepackaged food pouches, make hot chocolate, or sterilize tattoo needles (actually maybe it is not a good idea to sterile tattoo needles in it). It is inexpensive and not a likely target for theft if you work in a large office environment.
The heating element is a flat non-stick surface which wipes clean easily and food particles don't get stuck in any crevices.
The Rival Hot Pot has a one year warranty. I paid $15 but have even seen them for slightly cheaper.
