I will start out by saying I am not a computer expert. I know what I like, how I want it to work, and if something goes wrong I call my husband.

Back in August I purchased a new laptop for myself. After using my daughter's until she moved last summer I knew it wouldn't be long before I had my own. I loved working from the comfort of the family room with the TV nearby.

With the arrival of my new laptop I wanted a wireless mouse as I have never been able to get the hang of working a touch pad. My laptop has a red cover and I had remembered seeing a red mouse at Best Buy. I dragged my husband along and we found a huge display of the Microsoft Notebook Wireless Mouse 3000 in special edition colors.

It's an ordinary looking mouse, nothing special, except for the Pomegranate red color I was looking for. It also comes in 4 more delightful colors to match your computer, laptop or d├ęcor.

Some of the great features of this mouse are:

**High Definition Optical Technology with exclusive Microsoft Intelligent Tracking System, 1, 000 dots per inch and 6, 000 frames per second. If you were to ask me what that means I would just tell you it's the greatest little wireless mouse I've ever owned.

**The mouse comes with sculpted finger grooves and rubber side grips which really does make for a very comfortable fit in my hand.

**There is a snap-in receiver which automatically turns off the power when snapped into the bottom storage space of the mouse. I think Microsoft could have made a slightly smaller receiver that would fit flush with the bottom of the mouse. This one is long and sticks out so when you set the mouse down it wobbles. The AA battery supposedly should last 6 months or more but I had to replace mine after 3 months. I normally use the laptop an average of 5 hours a day, 8 hours on the weekends, so perhaps the usage comes into play with the battery life. I just always have a spare battery handy just in case.

**A three year limited hardware warranty is provided from Microsoft.

I have not had any problems and I'm happy as a clam that my mouse matches my laptop. Thank you Microsoft, it's the little things that make a girl happy!!
