I bought this equipment, thinking it would be a great exercise tool and would be really helpful. Overall, I was only minimally impressed. Putting it together took about an hour and was harder than I would have liked. Once together, it was really big and would have been very hard to fold up and store. I don't know if the newer models are any easier, but the basic Ab Lounge could not be folded up for storage without a lot of difficulty.
The equipment itself was easy to use and was comfortable. Sometimes getting into different exercise positions (such as on your side to work your love handles) was difficult as the chair liked to "sit up" while you were trying to get into position.
It did feel as if it worked your abs, but unless you do this very consisitently then it's not the greatest workout in the world. I tried using the DVD that came with it, but you can't exactly watch the tv and do the workout at the same time. Of course, after just a couple of times, you pretty much can memorize the routine, or add your own stuff.
