It all started as a gift from my husband's staff in one of their provincial stations where abaca is their native product. When hubby visited their Legazpi City station recently I asked him to look and buy some for the family.
Abaca is a hard fiber use in making bags, carpets, furniture, clothing, etc. Slippers made in abaca may differ in prices depending on the design. Ours is simple so not expensive at all, like the one you see in the picture. I love wearing it at home all day. It is light and I feel comfortable with it. It is perfect to wear especially after shower because it quickly absorbs water and dries up my feet easily. I occasionally expose it to sunlight to avoid tearing and bad odor. There are several designs of this abaca slipper started from simple to quality export design but gives the same durability and comfort to anyone who will use it.
I have use several slippers at home but when I tried this one I know it is my perfect buddy to accompany me in my day to day dealings at home.
