This first AC/Dc album is how the band earned its place in history. I was 10 years old when this one hit the airwaves in 1976. The #1 song features Bag Pipes in a song about the struggle to hit the top. The #2 also beltches out lyrics to the tune of being a rock and roll star. 'Rock And Roll Singer' kept the crowds happy in the live performances that promoted this album.

Most new bands don't just bust-out with nine continuous songs that have such vibrant lyrics and vocals. the 3rd song is when you realize that this is a poker related album. 'The Jack' is one of my very most favorites. I play this cd when I play online poker . These famous lyrics, "Shes got the jack" resonated through time and still rock the world 31 years later.

'Live Wire', the next one on the bands first rock smash hit album, is a about being a party man. Bon' Scott was a womans man, and this was his style. The guitar solo mid way, with the back up bass gutar is awesome. This finger pickin lick verberates the guitar into the fade away as Bon' Scott expells energy to pull this top song off. The fifth song, 'T.N.T', was the best song on this album. My cd is the third purchase, since I seem to wear this one out. I love the lyrics to this song, as I often feel the same way, about winning the fight.

The 6th, 7th, 8th, and 9th songs on this album/cd collectors item rock as hard as the rest. 'Can I Sit Next To You Girl', is a spicy one to say the least. Great giutar by the two brothers and excellent drums. A song about bar room romance. This one has a nice finish. "Little Lover'is next with a slow enticing beat that is like a heart beat. Looks like I am going after my fourth copy of this release, because it just skipped. The #8 is 'She's Got -----' (edited for review). This is about the lady that stands by her man. number nine is a fast paced finale to this very classic album/cd. 'High Voltage' was the perfect song in its day, and is still one of the rock worlds favorites. I get a bunch of requests for this one at my partys.

I hope you find this review helpful in the quest to build your classic rock collection. Enjoy!
