After incurring an injury a couple months ago I had a need for Ace Bandages. These bandages can be a bit pricey if you have to buy more than a few so I started looking for different places that carried them cheaper. I’d tried stores and I’d tried looking online. I found one bandage that really surprised me. It was the Ace Self-Adhering Athletic Bandage. This bandage is 3 inches wide (7.6 cm) and 4.2 feet (1.3 m) long unstretched. These are ideal for knee, ankle and lower leg. They are advertised to provide support for strenuous activities and compression for strains and sprains. I needed a bandage for compression.

The Ace Self-Adhering Athletic Bandages looks and feels a little different from regular Ace bandages. It’s a lot stretchier and when you wrap it around the knee, ankle or lower leg the bandage adheres to itself from starting point to ending point. It makes those sharp, little metal clips unnecessary.

I liked this bandage. When I used it to wrap from my ankle to my knee it stayed in place and stayed fastened for several hours until I unwrapped my leg. The only bad thing about these bandages is that they are a little pricey and I get the feeling that they will not last long and would have to be replaced a more often then a regular Ace bandage. Can be found online cheaper if bought in a larger amount than one bandage at a time.

WARNING: see a Dr. About all strains, sprains and injuries. Also, make sure you know how to wrap an injury with an Ace bandage be for using this type of bandage so as not to further injure the limb.
