I bought this Acer Aspire 5920 in August 2008 for my final year at school, and then to take to University. After asking around many people, this was the best laptop I could find for my needs. Straight away, I loved it. The appearance of the laptop is great, both open and closed. The smooth outside of the laptop makes it look expensive and flashy, which is unlike anything else I have seen for a moderately priced laptop with a similiar capacity. It was a huge improvement, and much less of an embarrassment in comparison to the lumpy Dell laptop I was using for a number of years previously. The screen is large and makes watching movies very pleasant, especially combined with the exceptional speakers and built-in subwoofer. I also appreciate this because one of the main activities I use my laptop for is playing music. This is aided by the touch-sensitive music buttons to the right of the keyboard, which I find very helpful. The only problem with this is I often accidently knock the bottom button, which automatically opens 'NTI CD & DVD MAKER', an unnecessary program that I have never wanted to use. Another bonus of this laptop is the scrolling volume wheel at the front of the laptop, making it much easier to adjust the volume with such a simple addition. The laptop has, at least to me, a suprising amount of USB slots, which have come to appreciate greatly, enabling me to use a scanner, printer, mouse and connect to my phone, all at the same time. My laptop has 250Gb which was the best I could find for any similar price.

The only problem I have had with my laptop is a flashing screen, but it was quickly fixed.
