The Acer Aspire One is an exciting product. It's part of the new "Netbook Revolution". This machine is called a "netbook" for a reason, it's not really a laptop, atleast it dosnt have all the cabilities of a laptop. PERFECT for students though, without all the multimedia distractions.

But what it does have and do make up for the lack of multimedia. It's my workhorse. I use it to store all my pix...so far anyway. It has a built in webcam, that I actually use one in awhile and works ok in low light settings.

I cant say this enough...It's light, it's light at a weight of less than 3 lbs, Very portable! That's actually my favorite feature of the Acer Aspire One, it's like carryinga paper notebook around.

It is WAN ready and connects to my wireless DSL in seconds!!

It has a 10.1 inch LED LCD screen, which is large for how much the Aspire weighs.

So far I've seen it come in a few different colors, red(which I have), blue, white(which I also have) and I've even seen it in purple.

Now for all you "techys" out there I'll do my best to provide the specs for the Aspire: It comes with Windows XP home edition(which is great if you're still hesitant to get Windows Vista or now the newest Windows 7), As I said before it has a 10.1 inch LCD LED screen, It runs at 1.60 Ghz and has 1 GB of ram.

So to wrap it up, Great for homework and surfing the web, but you may wanna try something else for mutilmedia.
