When it comes to craft projects, there is an easier way to paint than using open trays and needing to clean out your brushes afterwards. They're called Painters.
Painters come in various colour collections, and are available in medium, fine-tip, and calligraphy tips to suit your needs. They handle just like a marker, but are filled with acrylic paint, for an artistic look, and a permanent finish.
To use, you need to shake the pen, and then press the tip down firmly onto a scrap of paper for a few seconds. Doing this fills the tip up with paint. And that's all there is to it! Use your marker to write, draw, or decorate in any way you would with regular acrylic paint. When you are done, simply replace the cap and walk away. No fussy clean-up!
Painters are good for a variety of surfaces. I have used them to decorate clay flower pots, and to make a custom t-shirt for my sister. They also work on ceramic, wood, and glass. In the case of fabrics, like the t-shirt I made, you need to add just one more step and heat seal your finished project. For the shirt, I waited until the paint was dry, and then placed a clean dry tea towel over the design and ironed it for a few minutes. Since then, the shirt has been through the laundry several times with no fading or bleeding.
I wish I had pictures to show you of my finished projects, but they have all been given away as gifts! I guess that means you will just have to make your own.
If you are into decorative crafting, or if you are good at drawing and would like to transfer your sketches onto an item, these Painters should do the trick nicely.
