I Should of Tried Them Sooner
I've worn Acuvue 2 contact lenses for years but have been interested in trying Acuvue Oasys for quite some time. I finally asked my Optometrists about giving Acuvue Oasys a try and was very glad I did. I had problems with the Acuvue 2 lenses drying out my eyes and not being as comfortable as I thought they should be which was the main reason I mentioned wanting to try Acuvue Oasys.
There Not Flimsy
What I really liked about Acuvue Oasys when first handling them is they are no where near as flimsy as the Acuvue 2 contact lenses. The Acuvue 2 contact lenses when compared to the Oasys Brand are terribly flimsy and at times I would spend way too long trying to get them in my eyes. It was all too common for me to use up too much contact solution just to try to get the Acuvue 2 lenses stable enough so I could get them in my eyes. I really didn't have no idea how flimsy the Acuvue 2 lenses actually were when compared to other soft contact lenses until I started using Acuvue Oasys.
Comfort, Comfort, Comfort
An example of the lack of irritation that I had with the Oasys Brand was when I was mowing the yard. Normally when mowing my yard I have to wipe my eyes more than usual due to the irritation from the outside environment. When I was mowing the sweat dripped from my forehead into my eyes and I noticed the irritation wasn't there when wearing Acuvue Oasys. I didn't even have to wipe the sweat out of my eyes like I would when whereing the Acuvue 2 lenses. Other examples of no longer having eye irritation involved rubbing Blue-Emu Cream on me after a workout which would normally irritate my eyes because of the ingredient Menthol. Normally After rubbing a cream with Menthol in it I would have to splash warm water in my eyes. When wearing Acuvue Oasys I no longer needed to do that. Overall I don't recall having problems with these contacts being uncomfortable at all. All this results in me having very crisp and clear vision.
The comfort and convenience I get from Acuvue Oasys cost more money. If your asking me "Is it worth it?"then I would say yes if you have the extra money to pay. Bottom line is things cost too much and it seems that way more than ever as everything adds up so much. This is why I've been buying the Acuvue 2 brand as of late. I do buy a box of Acuvue Oasys occasionally. If you do have enough money I would recommend buying enough boxes to get a great discount online no matter what the type of contacts you where. There is so many websites that your bound to find a great deal. The price is the only complaint I have about these contacts.
How Long Do They Lasts?
Your suppose to where these for 2 weeks but remember to take them out at night. If you don't take them out at night your only suppose to where them for 6 days and then dispose of them. Personally I can't afford to replace a pair of these every 2 weeks so I wear them for a month.
