It was at the time when I moved in to live along with my friends that we all went for an adventure vacation. We went to a trip along the shoreline of Lake Michigan for hiking and biking. I wasn't so familiar with adventure vacations at that time but when they asked me whether I would be interested in going for an adventure vacation. I found the word 'adventure' exciting and without thinking or knowing anything just said that I would go. How bad I regretted that decision at the time of vacation? The vacation went really well but I couldn't just adjust myself for the hectic adventure tasks. We started off very well and I was the most active one of our group at the start as I was excited about the 'adventure'. We went to this trip with Sierra Club Outings as my friends always used to go with them. We traveled along the extremely beautiful Lake Michigan shoreline. The trip lasted for four days and we mostly traveled on bicycles provided to us at an average of around 40 to 50 miles per day. We used to travel on bicycles and used to see the beauty of the very beautiful sightings. We saw many historic monuments and many other natural sightings. We reached a very beautiful peninsula after traveling along this shoreline. The great thing about this peninsula ia that it has a very long coastline and the shoreline is very beautiful in a very unorganized way. It was not maintained and it seemed very natural. There were many small rivers on this peninsula and it has a forest which doesn't have much wild life which made it easy to explore every inch of it. I really enjoyed the forest episode as I got to see many birds which I am very interested in observing. We did some hiking too in the evenings and this was the worst part as far as I am concerned. This used to take my life away as I was not used to it before that. I used to get so exhausted of bicycling and hiking that I used to hate starting a new day. But I must say that the sight seeing and especially the Lake Michigan shore line were extremely beautiful. Sierra club people really helped s in every step and the food served was really mouth watering. The best thing has been we always had our meals at the side of a lake or a river which really was a very great feeling.

Though the vacation, accomadation, meals and other facilities were very good, I didn't have the much needed enjoyment because of th constant pain in my calves and thighs. But one could go to this vacation to just have the sight of Lake Michigan and the islands at the time of sunset which definitely is the most beautiful thing to see.
