I was toying with the idea of buying a pear of UGGs, but I couldn't bring myself to pay that much money for something so trendy.

Then, while browsing the shoe section at Nordstrom Rack, I found a pair of these Bearpaws. I was with some friends, and they had mentioned that the qualit of Bearpaws were just as good as UGGs, the only reason why UGGs were more popular (and more expensive) is b/c they had 'celebrity status'. I don't know if this is true or not - however, when I tried on the Bearpaws, they were extremely confortable, and I did not feel guilty spending just $30 on them.

Since then, I've researched online, and found that these usually go for about $60 - double what I paid for, but still about 1/2 of what UGGs go for.

The sheepskin is extremely confortable - you do not have to wear socks while wearing these books, unless you want to of course.

The sand color is not my 1st choice, I would have preferred something darker, but I was limited in choice of color at Nordstrom Rack.

Also - it does take some getting used to walking around in these. AT first, they felt big on my feet, and I felt as though I was dragging my feet while walking - and will sheepishly admit that I even tripped a couple times (felt like I had clown feet!).

But, I got used to them, and started to wear them everywhere. You can wear them with regular jeans, or with skinny jeans, tucking the jeans inside the boots.

I would recommend spraying them down first with a suede protectant before wearing them in the rain.

Now that I've had these boots for about a month, I can see some of the sheepskin has 'conformed' to my feet, making it even more comfortable to wear.

Given that I don't know how long this trend will last, I am glad I only spent $30 on these boots - They are well worth this price - paying $60 is ok too - but I would not spend more than that.
