My hair was dry. I mean, it's color treated, subjected to high heat with a flat iron, and bombarded with multiple hair products. Conditioners helped, but never seemed to be enough. If it was summertime, then the sun added to the dryness, and if it's wintertime, it's the cold air.

I was shopping for supplies at my local beauty supply store, and discovered the ALFAPARF line of hair products. I was aware of the brand, but was turned-off by their name so I never considered using anything in the line. What caught my eye was the box containing little vials filled with blue liquid. Their claim said that it was an "instant hair repair" and would add "superior shine, softeness, and luminosity to dull dry hair". I snatched up the box and added it to my other purchases.

The next morning during my daily shampoo and conditioning ritual, I broke open the little glass vial, (which seems slightly dangerous), applied the contents over my conditioner and let it sit for a minute. I was surprised that it sort of lathered, a little like shampoo, which made it easy to distribute. The smell wasn't too bad either. I rinsed and styled my hair as usual. I couldn't believe how shiny my hair was! And it felt great too. Even though it has essential oils, it's not greasy or heavy on the hair. The next day when I just used my normal conditioner alone, I felt like my hair was in better shape. Since I'm a licensed sylist this product is only sold to professionals, but you can have your local salon order the product for you, or have your stylist give you a treatment on your next visit. Since I tried it myself, I use it on my clients that have 'over-stressed' hair. We call it the *miracle cure* at the salon.

The package says to use a whole vial, but I find that if you pour out a quarter size puddle into your palm, this is sufficiant. Especially if you layer it over your conditiioner as I do. This makes the ALFAPARF last much longer, which is good since it's not cheap.

The downside is the glass vial. Breaking the top off to apply it seems like a cut-to-the-hand waiting to happen. And if you're in the shower you must keep track of that little glass top you just snapped off. Wouldn't want to lose it on the shower floor, or worse yet have it go down your drain!

This is a super hair product. You just have to get past the funny sounding name!
