When I bought this last year before my kids' schooling starts for school year 2008-2009, I only intended it for my daughter who is an incoming Grade 2 that time. I want it to be easy for her to take note of the important words or terms while she is reading her books. Once she open a page and see those highlighted words it will be easy for her to take note of that and avoid missing out important notes. My daughter is kind of fond in artsy stuff and she likes to draw very much. As the school year rolls, I noticed that she used her Faber-Castell textliner not only to her books but notebooks and projects as well. Her teachers instructed them to make their notebooks colorful. What she did was she designed the left and right borders of her notebooks with the use of these textliners. I find it great because the colors are not so catchy and irritating to the eyes as I read the notes on her notebooks. I think she did a right job on that matter. Also, the textliners are also useful to some of her projects.
Aside from its different uses, the markings are super fluorescent and my daughter finds the marked words still readable. I do like the pencils of Faber-Castell so I tried their textliners and I do get the same satisfaction with its performance and uses.
