I flew this past weekend on Allegiant Air. This airline has just started servicing a airport very close to me, so I decided to give it a try for my upcoming Disney World weekend trip. The dates worked great for me Tues, Thurs, and Sunday flights. This is perfect for a weekend getaway. You can fly out in late afternoon on Thursday, and fly back in the evening on Sunday. Perfect. I booked, and at $49 one way it could not be beat!!!!

A few things when booking, currently this airline does not fly into MCO, I flew into Sanford, farther away but worth the savings. You have to pay for checked baggage (1 bag, $4) up to 2 checked bags. Not bad. You are charged $11 per seat, per flight, to chose your seat. Still this was much cheaper than my other options. Total roundtrip....$137 non stop flight. The other closest option for a comparable flight was $235.

The check in process was smooth, we paid for seat assignments, and were given the seats we paid for. My husband and I were traveling with our 20 month old daughter, and were able to gate check her stroller and carseat without a problem. The flight left on time, and arrived 10 minutes before scheduled arrival time on the departure and return trip.

You do have to pay for snacks on the plane however, this gives you a much better selection, we had options galore, the price per item was not to high, and on a hour and a half flight, you do not need much.

This last April I flew Delta to Florida, I paid much more for my ticket, never got a snack (just drink), My seat assignments were messed up, and the plane was VERY crampped. Compared to the Delta flight Allegiant Airline is wonderful. Clean, newer planes with much more room, and more comfortable seats.

I would recommend flying with Allegiant Air.
