I started taking Alli in July. I don't always stick to the plan, but will take it strong for a couple weeks, then go off for a couple weeks. While using Alli I have lost 30 pounds in 4 months, which is a healthy amount to lose, however, I could be losing more if I would stick to it!! When I am not taking it I am able to maintain my weight loss, but I have a hard time losing additional weight. My biggest problem is staying motiviated, which is where the website comes in.
The website is a great tool to use because it allows weekly check-in's where you enter your weight and get information on 'important steps' in your weight loss journey. You can earn rewards for your weight loss, log your meals, post on your blog, visit the message boards and learn about the product. However, I think the website could be so much more than it is!! I would like to be able to enter my meals independently rather than choosing a pre-determined menu. I think doing this would allow me to catch any mistakes I'm making in my meal choices and would be a great tool!! Also, it took me a long time to learn how to navigate the website simply because the website doesn't recognize you as a returning member each time you log on. It remembers you, but doesn't redirect you to an existing member page. It's frustrating.
Now, as far as the product itself, I think it's awesome. I have had only a little trouble with treatment affects, but they have proven to be a great deterrent to eating high-fat foods. I see a great rate of weight loss when I'm taking it, losing anywhere from 2-4 pounds a week. Also, since it's FDA approved I feel safe and secure in taking it.
Alli is not an appetite suppresant. It doesn't stop you from eating. It gives you the tools you need to make healthy eating choices.
