I am currently a Alltel Wireless plan member, I have been with this company for about 3 years and have had minimal problems. The contract I am in is a 2 year contract, which is all they offer currently. They used to offer 1 year contracts, and I loved that, but last Feb when I got a new phone they only offered 2 year contracts.
Alltel has a ton of plan options, and allow you to change your plan whenever you would like to without extending your contract. This is great because sometimes I need national plan time, and sometimes I do not. They also offer the option of starting your nights and weekends at 7 pm, instead of 9 for only 7/month, this is great when you have unlimited nights and weekends. They offer my circle, which allows you to call up to ten numbers outside of your network under your unlimited mobile to mobile minutes, and you can change these numbers online anytime you would like to. I believe Alltel offers plans that would suit just about anyone.
You may recieve your bill online or in the mail, and you are billed monthly. When you do decided to get a new phone, they will add it to your bill if you would like to. Instead of having to pay for it right then. You may pay your bill online, on the phone, by mail, or at any Alltel store. There is no service charge for any of the payment options.
Alltel has a wide array of phone options however, I believe that other carriers have more technologically advanced phones. Alltel offers phones that are pretty basic, and just about anyone could operate.
I would recommend Alltel to anyone looking for a new cell phone service provider, and I recommend it often. They pay you for referrals!!!!
