I recieved the book "Along Came A Spider" by James Patterson for Christmas. This book was amazing. It was very captivating and I picked it up and kept reading it into the wee hours of the morning. It was an amazing book, and dealt with not only some fictional things in the book, but it deals with struggles of cops, and African Americans living in Washington DC. It is about a detective named Alex Cross who deals with murders in the project in Washington DC. In his recent cases, at the beginning of the book, he has discovered a dead family, two women, and one boy. They women have had their breats cut off and their pubic hair shaved, that is just a little taste of the madness to come. Two children are kidnapped, and Alex Cross is put on the case, and it frusterates him that no one cares about he black families getting murdered in the projects. Gary Sonjei has been abused and distured all throughout his childhood, he is an amazing actor though, as he acts normal for a few months at a local private school, and then kidnaps two children. Alex Cross chases him up and down the east coast, and then even after catching him, and locking him up, he still gets away. There is also a love affair with Alex and a co-worker named Jessie. Read this book!!!! It was amazing!!!!! I would recommend it for ages 15+ because of the harsh language and sexual encounters.
