As I mentioned in a previous review, I've never liked a heavy makeup look, and didn't wear eye liner until I was in my 30s. But I managed to find a couple of brands of eye liner that are very natural looking, and go on with a crayon-type feel. I never have liked liquid eye liner, because it looks very unnatural to me.
So in addition to Almay eye liner, I also like Revlon ColorStay Eye Liner Pencil. The color is supposed to stay up to 16 hours. It goes on very smoothly and gently, and creates a fine line. It doesn't smudge or smear easily. You just simply apply it along the upper and lower lash lines. I use both black and brown, and it comes in other colors as well.
It comes with its own sharpener built into the eye liner pencil. It is also waterproof, but easily washes off with soap and water, or in the shower.
For a soft, natural look, combine the Revlon ColorStay eye liner pencil, with Revlon ColorStay eye shadow. When eye makeup enhances natural beauty, it is truly a blessing.
